Vaping vs Smoking Weed: 5 Reasons Why You Should Invest in A Disposable Cannabis Vape Pen | ISH
Let’s get this out of the way before we start any other thing. Vaping is safe.
That being said, if you have been on the cannabis-consuming team for a while now, and you are yet to try vaping, I wonder what you are waiting for. In fact, many people that have tried vaping have sworn never to have anything to do with smoking the weed anymore. If you need a little bit of convincing on why vaping is for you, here are some points to do just that for you.
For the not-so-current people around us, I will answer the question that would be on your mind right now.
What is Vaping?
Spot on, yeah?
Simply put, vaping is the process of heating up the cannabis without burning it at all. The heating provides help to release the active ingredients of the cannabis into a vapor. The vapor is then inhaled by you.
One of the standout features of vaping is that it produces no smoke. Recall that for smoke to be present, burning has to occur. Since none of that is happening here, you will only be releasing a fine mist of air into the atmosphere.
Vaping vs Smoking Weed
It has been confirmed by scientists that weed – which happens to be the most popular kind of drug in the world – is one of the safest drugs one could use. Whether you use yours for recreational or medicinal purposes, there is no denying how good it can make you feel.
However, that is at the expense of how bad it can make the environment feel, especially if you are smoking it.
While weed is generally safe, the fumes from smoking it are no different from the carcinogenic emissions from the other end of a cigarette. Health benefits and implications asides, there are other reasons why I think you should vape weed instead of smoke it.
1. ‘Higher’ Level of Ecstasy
In case you did not notice, ‘higher’ was used as some sort of pun. All jokes asides though, vaping would get you higher than smoking a joint would.
In vaping, the cannabis is heated for longer at low temperatures, not compromising the chemical properties of the substance and constantly releasing all of the active ingredients to you. Since it is in the vapor state, the body would be able to absorb these ingredients (majorly THC and CBD) at a much faster rate than normal.
Even medical experts would advise their patients (using medical marijuana) to vaporize instead, as that is a proven way to feel the effects of the herb faster.
With vaping, you don’t have to worry about rolling the perfect joint. In fact, you don’t even have to worry about rolling anything at all. More than that, you don’t need to light anything on fire.
Another aspect of convenience that comes with vaping is in the after-smell. With smoking weed, the smell lingers for longer. Vaping ensures that the vapor dissipates as fast as possible.
That can prove to be a blessing in public places where you won’t want to be caught smelling like dinner. (In this case, dinner means… Oh! You get it already)
3. Cost Effectiveness
Think about all the money you can save by vaping weed as opposed to smoking the herb. The first thing you save on is lighters. Yes, they don’t cost much, so I’ll give you something else – the weed itself.
To vape the herb, all you need is a relatively smaller amount of the dry herb. The best part, buttressing the point from #1 above, is that it gets you high just the same. The better part of it all is that the weed you used in vaping is not consumed by any fire, so the leftovers can still be used to make edibles.
Now, how is that not the most cost-effective solution you’ve seen?
Everyone has a right to breathe in clean and fresh hair. Sometimes, your smoking weed in public/ populated spaces can be an infringement upon those rights. Needless to say, you’ll have to enjoy some death stares from strangers alongside your inhalations.
What you might not have considered is that vaping will help you get rid of all that happening in the first place.
The mist of air produced by vaping disappears almost immediately, making it almost impossible to detect at a fair distance. That means you can vape comfortably in public, and only the most sensitive Scooby Doos would know what’s up.
Even at that, they won’t sense it so much as to be offended by it. You’ve got your thing going (with the promise of an even better high), and people can breathe freely around you. Win-win for everyone, not?
5. Health Benefits
I have mentioned this before, but it just can’t be stressed enough.
Pot advocates would be quick to point to researchers that claim smoking weed does not do anything to damage your lungs. That report would even go on to say that it might be helping your lungs instead. I am not an authority to disprove that, but the same science teaches that smoke is not good for your lungs.
‘Smoke,’ in this context, was not defined to exclude that from weed, so why expose yourself to it? More than yourself, you will also be punishing the good people around you for your own pleasure. That is just being selfish, and I know that is not you.
Bonus: Tastes are subjective, but a good percentage of people have reported that vaping weed produces a better taste than smoking it. Not just high, but taste too. The vapes are taking the prize home, aren’t they?
After all that has been said and done, which would it be for you? Would you try the vaping experience or stick with the smoking train? Let us know in the comments section.
